BIG BANK HANK OF SUGARHILL GANG DIES

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) _ Big Bank Hank of Sugarhill Gang has died. Funeral director Aree Booker of Eternity Funeral Services in Englewood, New Jersey, confirms Hank died yesterday at the age of 57. A cause of death was not given. Sugarhill Gang are credited with having the first rap hit with “Rapper’s Delight” in 1979. LL Cool J tweets Hank was one of the guys who inspired him to touch a microphone. Big Daddy Kane tweets Hank was “one third of the song that made all of this hip hop music possible.”
