Chris Thomas The CEO Eyes The Grammys
Jamaican born US-based Chris Thomas the CEO, I.W.A.A.D Music LLCs’ three Grammy Considerations is big talk worldwide.
“Girl Let Me Show You,” a collaboration with Brian Iannucci, is selected in the Best Country Duo/Group Performance category. The second is “Some Type O Way” with Dancehall King and two time Grammy winner Beenie Man in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category. Rounding off the considerations is for the 10- track album Power which is being considered for Best Reggae Album.
In an interview with Vision Caribbean, the CEO explains that, “all things are possible with consistent hard work. These three Grammy considerations is certainly not a one man effort but of a united team including Jackie IWAAD, Sonic Links, Rick Wizard, JayFK, Rudy Ran from Israel and Tripple Ess. We must strive for excellence in whatever we do.”
Dancehall reggae artiste/producer Shaka Pow, who shares the producers imprint for, “Girl Let me Show You” and “Some Type O Way,” called Chris Thomas The CEO, a perfectionist.
He (Chris) has studied, worked hard and immersed self and team to the upliftment of dancehall/reggae music, while leaning on other genres of music. He has a unique blend and sound which has an international appeal.
“Some Type O Way” boasts a re-make of Steely and Clevie’s’ Young Gal Business’ riddim,” he shared.
Chris Thomas The CEO, hails from Tryall Heights, Spanish Town, St. Catherine. He started his journey at Camperdown High School being active in music. He then became the entertainment co-ordinator for the Police Youth Club, staging concerts to raise well-needed funds for community projects.
He migrated to join his mother in the USA in 1994 and thereafter began organizing stage shows in New York.
As an artiste, Chris Thomas the CEO recorded several songs, including “Gwaan Good” and “Stand Your Ground.” He (Chris) has released two albums and numerous singles and collaborations.
