The promoters of Hennessy V, Ewan Campbell, Romaine ‘Luigi’ Brown (Portmore Society), Oneil Forbes (FlyNation Ent) and Shanique Mongal, are gearing up to host another staging of the event. This time, however, it is the anniversary celebration and the promoters will be digging even deeper into their pockets to give loyal patrons a unique experience.

Hennessy V is will be held tomorrow at The Terrace parking lot, 28-48 Barbados Avenue, New Kingston. According to Campbell, it is a gentleman’s event, but at the same time a lady’s playground.

Hennessy V is expected to bring a premium standard of entertainment to the party scene just before the year-end festive season in which several marquee events will be held. Campbell also gave a hint of the style of dress patrons can expect at Hennessy V tomorrow.

“Let us just say we will have the ladies wearing rum cream stilettos and the men in Hennessy bow ties,” he said. So the party is said to be exclusively for ladies of elegance, men of style, and everyone of class.

Theme

The theme for this staging is ‘High Stakes’ and ticket holders will be treated to waitered premium bottle service and the Hennessy lounge area, with debit/credit card facilities on site. There will be complimentary vodka cocktails, personalised ‘Hennessy V glassware (with selected purchases), a velvet room (ladies only), mini vodka ‘velvet devil’ cupcakes, gummy shots, and chocolate-dipped strawberries.

DJs booked for Hennessy V are Chromatic The Ultimate, DJ Flabba Dabba, The Road Runner and Infuzion Sound, featuring DJ Zagga. Admission to the party is $1,500 presold and $1,800 at the gate. Presold tickets are available at LOUD Fashion in Half-Way Tree, Spokes Apparel, and online atyardticket.com.

Part proceeds of this staging of Hennessy V go towards obtaining treatment for 12-year-old Yanice, who has been diagnosed with promyelocytic leukemia. Brown said “the event’s premise for its November staging is to celebrate life and to give back to those in need. My co-worker’s stepdaughter, Yanice, is only 12 years old and she has been diagnosed with promyelocytic leukemia. The therapy will last eight months. She needs approximately $500,000, plus supplies, and we are trying our best to help raise the funds to make this possible,” he said.

Tomorrow night, a donation box will be at the entrance of Hennessy V for patrons who would like to contribute. Donations can also be made to the Bank of Nova Scotia account number 826697 (Liguanea branch) and donations of blood at the University Hospital of the West Indies are also welcome. More information on how to contribute to Yanice’s therapy is available by emailingVEJamaica@gmail.com.
