Immigration Detention Centre at Camp Blizzar reported 5 Haitians escaped
June 1, 2022 | Colin O. Jarrett | The Police High Command in Antigua and Barbuda are searching for five Haitian nationals who escaped from the Immigration Detention Centre at Camp Blizzar.
The Department of Immigration reported that the 4 men and 1 woman were detained at the VC Bird International Airport from the Dominican Republic on Friday.
The Department reported that efforts were being made to deport them to Haiti on Saturday but they escaped. It is believed that they are still on the island and the department has asked islanders to be on the lookout for them.
