Jamaican Students Missing During Online School Re-engage in the Education System

Out of the estimated 120,000 primary and high school students, who were said to be unaccounted for during the Covid-19 pandemic, more than 87,000 have have been re-engaged in the education system in Jamaica.
According to Education Minister Fayval Williams during the 2022/23 Sectoral Debate in the House of Representative on Tuesday, her Ministry is committed to finding all students.
She further informed that the Deans of Discipline and Guidance Counsellors will specifically redouble their efforts.
Minister Williams disclosed that the ministry’s internal officers will visit homes to understand the issues why the remaining children are not in school.
