Jamaica Football Federation General Secretary Dalton Wint Has Resigned
June, 7 2022 | Colin O. Jarrett | Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) General Secretary Dalton Wint has resigned. After an emergency board meeting on Monday night, Wint threw in the towel.
Wint came under pressure to resign after tension between himself and Jamaica’s senior men’s football team over mismanaged travel arrangements during their trip to Suriname for their Concacaf Nations League game on the weekend.
The players insisted they would not play the return leg against Suriname on Tuesday evening if Wint was not removed from the role.
Reggae Boyz head coach Paul Hall resigned on the weekend and now Dalton Wint resigns.
President of the Jamaica Football Federation Michael Ricketts confirmed this morning that the Reggae Boyz has indicated they will not play the Nations League fixture scheduled against Suriname tomorrow if Dalton Wint is still the General Secretary of the federation.#ReggaeBoyz pic.twitter.com/oE0Rzhb6WJ
