It’s not unusual for Ministers of Government in Jamaica to be caught in the fanfare of everyday life. They too are human beings, and at times enjoy those same moments as the man in the street.

Well, Minister of Education, Fayval Williams, has been getting much thumbs up for supporting reggae dancehall/Afrobeat artist Shaka Pow’s Fully Bright initiative.

According to the deejay, a medical doctor by profession, “The Minister has been pushing to come along with us to some of the school’s we are visiting. So, it was not surprising she was at August Town primary. We can expect her to be at other schools as we moved across the island”.

The team has visited over 15 schools, including Wolmer’s Boys.

It was a Fully Bright devotion which had students attention at its peak.

In her address, the Minister encouraged parents to send their children to school, including Fridays to improve the standard of education.

Over ten students received Fully Bright certificates.
