MORGAN FREEMAN – GRANDDAUGHTER
NEW YORK (AP) _ The boyfriend of Morgan Freeman’s granddaughter has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder in her stabbing death. Lamar Davenport was arrested Aug. 16th while standing over Edena Hines’ body _ a knife sticking out of her chest. Court papers released before a hearing in New York yesterday show Davenport muttered to police: “I don’t even know why I’m here right now.” The New York Daily News reports a lawyer representing Davenport told a judge her client is to undergo a psychiatric evaluation tomorrow.
