BILL COSBY – CRIMINAL DEFENCE ATTORNEY
PHILADELPHIA (AP) _ Looks like Bill Cosby is getting lawyered up. An attorney in Philadelphia says the veteran comedian wants to hire a criminal defence lawyer. Edwin Jacobs says he was approached by Cosby’s agents _ but he referred them to another Philadelphia-area lawyer. Prosecutors are taking a new look at a 2005 sexual assault case filed by ex-Temple University employee Andrea Constand. Back then, the D-A found there wasn’t enough evidence to charge Cosby. But since then dozens of women have claimed Cosby drugged and molested them. The Montgomery County D-A won’t confirm her office is reinvestigating the case. But she says prosecutors should consider whether new information might lead to a different decision on filing charges.
