Nelly speaks out about protests in Missouri
Hip hop recording artist and super star Nelly says it’s his job to spread the word about what’s happening in Ferguson, Missouri.
Nelly who is is from St. Louis. spoke with Billboard people and said“can’t just be reacting off anger and rage because it doesn’t fix the long-term problem.” Nelly says change will come when people change their mentality.
He led a “hands up, don’t shoot” protest at a charity event over the weekend and says he has also been in contact with the family of the victim Michael Brown and started a scholarship fund in his name.
