The International Artist star studded JAMAICA POETRY FESTIVAL 2022 (JPF 2022), which will be held synergistically with the Jamaica 60th Anniversary Edition is billed to be a physical hybrid staging with Creative Poetic Alchemy.
The acclaimed event’s physical staging will be live streamed on Sunday, August 14, 2022 from the AC Marriott Hotel in Kingston, Jamaica with an intriguing virtual twist, thereby retaining and engaging the significant virtual audience which JPF cultivated in 2020 and 2021.
Performers and awardees include Monty Alexander (Award of Honour) the world’s 5th greatest pianist and International Icon; Marjorie Whylie (JPF 2022 Lifetime Achievement Awardee), Prof Mervin Morris, Grammy award nomination singer Skip Marley, named Jamaica Poetry Festival’s International Youth Ambassador, plus Yasus Afari, Dr. Michael Abrahams, Ebony Payne, George Elliott Clarke, Kai Falconer, Sammoya Banton, Calvin Mitchell, Simone Absolom, Gayle J Mark Stephenson and a surprise guest.
