Update: Bishop Alfred Reid Funeral

Bishop Alfred Reid’s homegoing service will be held on Monday December 16 at 11 AM at the Anglican Cathedral in Spanish Town, Jamaica W.I. A number of Regional and local Bishops, clergy, lay representatives and other dignitaries are expected from overseas and locally to converge on the Cathedral. Bishop Reid is credited with making every effort to indigenize the local church. He chaired the committee to upgrade the latest CPWI hymn book recently.

The late Rt. Reverend Dr. Alfred Reid wore the local bandana material which was a Stark departure from tradition. He also introduced a Reggae Mass.

Personal

Bishop Reid and the undersigned enjoyed a close personal relationship. His loss is monumental as he was very approachable and was an excellent role model. Rest in peace my brother.

Gone too soon!
