Young Jeezy remains in custody on $1 million bail
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (AP) _ Young Jeezy remains in custody on $1 million bail _ this after being charged with possessing an illegal assault weapon. Authorities in California say the rapper has pleaded not guilty to the charge _ which was filed as a result of an investigation into a fatal shooting at a rap concert over the weekend. A spokeswoman for the Orange County district attorney says the rapper and five others were arrested Sunday at the Verizon Amphitheater in Irvine (ihr-VYN’), California. The other five also pleaded not guilty to possessing the AK-47 assault rifle. Meanwhile authorities continue to investigate who shot a man to death backstage at a concert Jeezy co-headlined with Wiz Khalifa in Mountain View, California. Authorities say none of those charged _ including Young Jeezy _ are being called suspects in the shooting.
