Dr. Janet Dyer From Trainee To M.D

It was a proud Dr. Janet Dyer who posed for Vision at the National Arena as the body of our former PM Edward Seaga was lying in state. Hundreds from the Heart Trust NTA turned up from islandwide to pay their respects. 
 
Vision: What brings you here?
 
Dr. Janet Dyer : ” I hail from St. Elizabeth and attended St.Elizabeth Technical  High (STETS). On graduating I could not afford to continue my education as we were poor. I registered at Heart to get a skill”
 
What happened after?
 
Dr. Janet Dyer: I got a scholarship that allowed me to further my studies”
 
Vision: How did Mr. Seaga help?
 
Dr. Janet Dyer:  “Mr. Seaga conceptualized Heart and had a segment called Solidarity?”
 
Vision:  I used hear about Solidarity?
 
Dr. Janet Dyer: “This segment provided grant funding to students to further their education. A second chance …”
Vision: I am aware of this programme from my stay in Canada.
Vision: Where are you going with Heart?
Dr. Janet Dyer: “My Vision is for us to take back ( Heart) to its original concept as a ‘Human Capital Development Agency… ‘Grant funding was the original concept with Solidarity…” that was about 1982.”
Commentary 
The proud graduate from Heart is now the Managing Director. From trainee to MD.  We salute you madam Dyer. Young gifted and black. We wish you all the success with Heart. May you achieve you vision. You are well trained and placed to do so.
