Hubert Wellesley Marsh, JP was laid to rest after a high Mass held at St. Mary the Virgin, Anglican Church, Molynes Road, St. Andrew. The capacity filled church heard March’s walk with God and his love for his family. There was hardly a dry eye in the church. He was a media man at heart.

Eulogy

Hubert Marsh was eulogized by his niece Tamara Merchant as a devoted Christian.” Hubert was faithful to God and God was faithful to him. He celebrated his 80th birthday at the Gleaner attending the pensioners luncheon September 15, 2015. He lived, he loved and he laughed. He was a dear husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He leaves to mourn his wife Hazel of 52 years, daughters Patsy, Annette, Pam, and Colleen, a host of other relatives, and extended family at The Gleaner Company and The Church of the Resurrection.

During his brief illness in hospital his church family and friends did not desert him … his dear Brother in Christ Miranda was always there”

Bishop of Kingston Dr. Robert Thompson in his sermon focussed on his cheerfulness and used as the backdrop to reinforce his point 1 PETER 2 (Hope). Alluding to the fact that Hubert’s hope in the after life made him always smiling. Bishop Thompson also mentioned the mansion elsewhere as the Gospel John 14, 1-6 spoke of. Our father did not build a one room house.
“He was a foundation member of The Church of the Resurrection”.
Bishop concluded.

Niece Tamara declared in summation:

“Uncle Hubert, will raise up on eagles’ wings …. and we will see you again”.
