Dr. Peter Phillips has prevailed as president of the PNP. Beating challenger MP Peter Bunting by 76 votes. There was a 96 percent voter turnout. Bunting got 1351and Phillips 1427.

Peter Bunting was gracious in defeat. “We accept the wishes of the delegates” a reflective Peter M. Bunting who was flanked by Dr. Dayton Campbell, campaign Manager and MP Mark Golding, campaign director and others.

Dr. Peter Phillips said “malice to none” as he calmly acknowledged his win.

Commentary

The delegates have spoken. Uniting the PNP will not be easy. The mud slinging was severe. We wish Dr. Peter Phillips all the success.
