Why Tarnish Rosa Parks’ Legacy?

An Unpleasant Homecoming

The distressing news that the house believed to have been at some point the residence of noted pioneer who stood as a symbol for civil rights advocacy in racist Alabama is embroiled in a dispute by feuding family members over its ownership, is unfortunate. Sad indeed!

Racism

When will it dawn on us that we need to stand up and smell the roses. When we engage in petty squabbles among ourselves all we do is to embolden the bigots.
Their resolve regarding their Confederate Monuments is without any risk of division.

We need to stand on guard, be united and affirm that “Racism is an affront to decency” … this embroilio is not helpful in promoting our cause.

Perspective

Let us always hold Rosa Parks in high regard. She stood on guard and held coloured people’s heads high. We love you Rosa even in the grave. You always be our heroine. This is proudly our perspective.
