Black Initiatives A Revolution In Action

June 24, 2020 | By Hopeton O’Connor-Dennie |

I read with interest a post in Vision Newspaper about your laudable initiate to want to feed 100 black families by July of 2020. This is an idea whose time has come. We cannot just talk the talk, but must in turn walk the walk.

Discrimination

The BLM movement needs support. When feet hit the pavement they must know that their cupboard at home is not empty. An empty bag cannot stand up. This is an undisputed fact.

Transparency

As you embark on this laudable initiative, do be on guard for the saboteurs who are waiting to bad mouth your best intentions. As Bob Marley said:. “Old pirate come to rob I, sold us to the merchant ship …”. He was referring to slavery. The whites and their supremacists friends are waiting to sell us out to the white cops and accuse us of fraud as a pretext to discredit black initiatives like yours. My advice is just be transparent. Do not allow them to have anything negative to tear you down and laugh.

Trials Of Black Men

Marcus Garvey was charged by CIA elements for mail fraud. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated by a plot. Guess by whom? Malcolm x was also murdered.

George Floyd was lynched by four now ex police officers headed by Derek Chauvin. They shoot our black brothers repeatedly as they envy our intellect and fortitude.

Records

Try to keep accurate records of donations and prepare regular progress reports. If possible, at least hold an annual meeting et al and have a management committee that meets regularly.

Conclusion

We at Vision Newspaper pledge to support your initiative to the best of our ability. All the success. It is a super idea. Black Lives Matter (BLM). at all times.

This is our perspective.
