Black Star Movement (BSM), formerly the Canadian African Caribbean Committee (CACC) is an organization formed in January 2011, with a goal to Educate, Highlight and Empower those with the Pan African message of “One Supreme Creator, One Aim, One Destiny”. The team comprises of volunteer advocates determined to continuously shine light on Notable Blacks.

The awards are bestowed to unrecognized individuals, groups and organizations who have developed and nurtured strong ties while giving of themselves above and beyond to maintain the potent Black Heritage Culture. BSM makes it possible annually for the community to get involved and identify unrecognized distinguished acts of volunteerism and leadership.
