ATLANTA _ A new fashion museum has opened in Atlanta.

The Savannah College of Art and Design has opened the SCAD FASH museum on the school’s Atlanta campus.

The opening exhibit includes more than 80 designs of Oscar de la Renta, including gowns worn by Taylor Swift, Beyonce and Sarah Jessica Parker in recent years. Pieces date back to 1965.

Future exhibitions still are being planned. SCAD officials say the 10,000 square-foot gallery is the South’s largest space devoted to fashion.

They also plan to connect film to clothing and costume design, using documentaries or pop culture films to spark discussion in a film salon connected to the museum gallery.

The de la Renta exhibit concludes on Dec. 31.
