FINDING YOUR ROOTS” SERIES TO RETURN AFTER BEN AFFLECK CONTROVERSY

FINDING YOUR ROOTS

NEW YORK (AP) — “Finding Your Roots” is finding a new slot in the PBS schedule. The show will be returning for its third season in January. The show has been popular with viewers but had to overcome some controversy last season. It was suspended after producers omitted references to the fact that an ancestor of Ben Affleck was a slave owner — after the actor asked that it be left out. P-B-S says the show has hired a new fact-checker and a pair of new genealogists to keep the program on point.
