Multiple award-winning Jamaican film, Ghett’A Life, has been named by CNN, as one of its ‘Must See African Films of the 21st Century’.

The CNN special writer Peace Anyiam Osigwe stated, “Not strictly an African movie, but Ghett’A Life is one of those films that I just love to watch. The music is brilliant, and the cinematography too.

“It deals with the political violence in Jamaica in a realistic way, showing that people born in the ghetto can escape. Its message is that you can get out of the corner if you really try. Story-line: excellent, acting: brilliant.”

Writer, producer, director, Chris Browne, was thrilled when he learned about the accolade given to the film.

“CNN is such a respected organisation worldwide. This is another feather in the cap of Ghett’A Life which has been receiving brilliant reviews and worldwide approval, given its recent international release on VOD and DVD. This shows the true power of what we can achieve in our beautiful island.”
