Grenada PM Welcomes new World Bank Country Director Lilia Burunciuc

Earlier this month, the Prime Minister of Grenada Dr Keith Mitchell welcomed the new World Bank Country Director for Grenada Lilia Burunciuc, who has responsibility for maintaining the partnership with Caribbean countries to address their development challenges.
During her first visit to Grenada, the World Bank Director had a series of meetings with senior Government officials including the Prime Minister.

Dr Mitchell noted that Grenada and its Caribbean neighbours face a particularly challenging period given the impact of the pandemic, coupled with the effects of the current war in Ukraine which is already causing an increase in food and fuel prices.
