“Yesterday afternoon, I paid my respects and signed the condolence book for one of Jamaica’s legendary Bassist and record producer, Robbie Shakespeare.
“Robbie will be remembered for his sterling contribution to the music industry & Jamaica’s culture.
“May his soul Rest In Peace.” tweeted the Jamaican PM.
Robbie Shakespeare beter known as half of the music producing duo Sly & Robbie, passed away on December 8th 2021. He was 68 years old on his passing.
Commentary
It is sad indeed to hear of the passing of Robbie from Sly & Robbie. Sly & Robbie is arguably the best music producers to ever come out of Jamaica. Recording artists from around the world would seek out the services of these two super producers.
Robbie Shakespeare will be missed in Jamaica and around the world.
