Junior Cat “Love, Cook and Clean”

Junior Cat, brother of international reggae star Super Cat, has come clean on the Rvssian Dutty Money Riddim.

His song, “Love, Cook and Clean”, has already become a whistle on local radio stations. The track was produced by Outfytt Boss Shaka Pow on his Outfytt Records imprint.

It is also one of three songs on a Dutty Money medley video which boasts Shaka Pow’s Every Gal and Anna Thickaz, Thickest Gyal Inna Di Caribbean.

Cat’s sharp, pronounced lyrics takes a jab at the notion that, cook and clean is not important in modern day society.

But, of the countless topics open for navigation, what could have led the Cat to spring mount on a ship which has already attracted so many cargo.

“It.wasn’t planned, but spontaneous. I really didn’t have any intention to join the invaders .

“I had gone to the studio to do some dubplate, as I normally do, met deejay Shaka Pow whom I have the greatest respect.

“He invited me to drop a single on the riddim and I accepted. I did two other songs before; this one was accepted.

“The deejay (Shaka Pow) was satisfy I did a good job on such short notice, and I am satisfy with my delivery.”

Junior Cat further explains that, unlike some of his counterparts, he believes a good family life is much more than  sex.

“I grew up believing there is more to a concrete relationship than sex.

“I see the complete woman as one who can also cook, and clean. Some men do not want fast food everyday of their lives. And, women should really know how to prepare a variety of dishes.

“The song is a universal one,” he shares.

Born Ricardo Maragh he has recorded over 100 songs. His favourites include “Glorious Things” and “Love Jah and Live.” Among his albums is “The Good, The Bad, The Ugly” and “The Crazy.”

For the rest of the year Junior Cat  will be working on returning to mainstream reggae platforms.
