Pryce leads Canada’s under 20 women past Jamaica 7 0 at CONCACAF tournament
SAN PEDRO SULA, Honduras _ Taylor Pryce had a hat trick as Canada’s women’s under-20 team routed Jamaica 7-0 on Sunday in the qualifying round of the CONCACAF women’s under-20 championship.
Sura Yekka, Sarah Kinzner and Shana Flynn all scored in the first half as Canada guaranteed a berth in the semifinals of the tournament. Vital Kats scored in the 70th half.
Canada needed six points in the qualifying stage to advance to the playoffs. The win over Jamaica coupled with a 2-0 victory against Trinidad and Tobago on Thursday was enough to move on.
The Canadians will play their final match of the opening round on Tuesday against host Honduras.
