Vershon’s “Status” responds to Popcaan

Jamaican international Dancehall superstar Vershon, has been in the media a lot lately due to various sequences of events. Usually known to most as a very humble person, the negative impact affected the artist in such a way that he decided to address these topics circulating about him, causing Vershon to create “Status”.

Following the news of an arrest allegedly for scamming, along with him saving a baby and him discussing Popcaan on the Let’s Be Honest Podcast with Jaii Frais, Vershon has had the media, vloggers and influencers twist his words and spread misinformation about him online. He believes that in order to remain relevant, these persons are deliberately tarnishing his reputation by claiming that he violated the Unruly Boss.

These media personnel are of the assumption that “Status” is basically adding fuel to the fire especially following a post on Instagram captioned, “Yu can unruly and nuh bad, bad and nuh unruly”. Although the Quefa Boss has not directly made any jabs in his Instagram post, the media believes he is. “Status” speaks not only to his critics but also appears to be a response to Popcaan for his belief in the lies about Vershon being publicized. Only time will tell how it unfolds between these two bosses!

“Status” was pre-released on Friday, October 13, 2023 on Vershon’s VEVO channel with an official release date set for Friday, November 3. The track was produced by DJ Treasure, 1 Family Records, Real Live Records, DJ Rumblood and Clevdan Music and will be made available for purchase and streaming on all digital platforms.
