WORLD PREMIERE: Riddim Travelers: “Angel Remix” By Tommy Lee Sparta

Impulse Nation (New York, NY)– “Angel Remix” is a Dancehall and EDM mashup from the upcoming Riddim Travelers: Kingston 10 compilation album (Monom Records) and features critically acclaimed dancehall star, Tommy Lee Sparta. Sparta stars in the accompanying video, which is a dramatized visual of the conflicted quest for redemption, which many of us seek.
Shot in Jamaica, the backdrop of key scenes of the video is the Chapel of the Trident Castle in beautiful Port Antonio. The video was directed by Englishman Rick Elgood, whose credits include the movies ‘Dancehall Queen and ‘One Love.
Sparta said, “Angel was an awesome experience. The video is one of my favorites and I know my fans will enjoy it as it highlights another level of my creativity.”
Angel is co-written and produced by Alexx Antaeus, an award-winning New York City and Kingston based composer, recording artist, remixer and producer for artists like as Young M.C., Falco, Lonnie Gordon, Malcolm McLaren, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, The Rolling Stones, The Boys, Herbert Gronemeyer and Earth, Wind & Fire. Antaeus is also a successful restaurateur (Opa at Devon House), a popular Kingston 10 event promoter (Reggae Mill) and a 26-year GRAMMY voting member who maintains an avid sense of what’s vital in pop culture.
The “Riddim Travelers: Kingston 10” compilation project is a celebration of diverse sounds, and takes you on a cultural journey. It also features a single by Grammy nominated artist Devin DiDakta, a Dancehall and EDM club-ready smash hit featuring newcomers Dutchess and Cherae and will also feature Reggae, Afrobeat, and Reggaeton mashups on its Fall 2019 release. ###
