Pittsburgh, PA – It was a massive turnout for Afar Music Group successful 5th staging of Reggae Fusion Fest in Pittsburgh, Pa as local and international performers took the stage to a standing room only of patrons who came out to celebrate Bob Marley’s life and Reggae music!
ORieL (Dominica), Mathew (Tembo Zambia) and Jah Ques (Trinidad) delivered energetic and entertaining performances by delivering their own stirring lyrics and renditions of Bob Marley’s songs as the crowd song along with one voice to ‘One Love’, ‘Redemption Song’, ‘War’ and other classics. ”We put in the work to let the people know about Reggae Fusion Fest; what it stands for and what are our intentions going forward .This was the 5th staging and i we put a plan on the table and executed to the best of our abilities, hence the great performances and the huge turn out” stated Afar Music Group’s CEO Linval “Shem” Brown.
The event which has become Pittsburgh premier Reggae Festival took place at the Mr. Smalls Theatre and paired music with an impressive art display and Live painting.
Speaking on the conception and mission of the annual event, Afar Music Group founder explained “RFF was conceived in order to cultivate a more vibrant reggae community in the Pittsburgh area whiles celebrating the life and music of Bob Marley, someone who has set a great humanitarian example for us all to follow. It as also given us the ability to showcase the tremendous talent the city has to offer.”
