Briana Williams Greeted with Sad News of her Grandmother Passing

Briana Nicole Williams Jamaica’s Female Athlete of the 100 and 200 meters returned home from the Tokyo Olympic Games to news of her grandmother’s passing.

“Just got home and found out that my dear grandmother, who lived with us, passed away soon after I left for the Olympics” Williams tweeted.
The 19 year old expressed that her family members made the right decision in waiting until her return home to share the news.
“I dedicate my Olympics gold medal to her memory and for all she poured into me. Sleep well, Nenna. Thank you, I love you.” said Williams.
