Health Focus: “Styrofoam Ban”

Ban Styrophome

There is Worldwide move to ban Styrofoam which is widely used as lunch boxes, plates etcetera. This product is made from chemicals which can lead to respiratory ailments. Also they do not breakdown readily in landfills where they eventually end up. In short they can lead to an environmental disaster. Blocking drains is another no no for the move to ban this product.

The Bureau of Standards Jamaica (BSJ) has,been at the forefront in Jamaica W.I. to ban the foam.
