Prince William voiced his support to nations that have cut their ties with the British monarchy. Speaking at a dinner hosted by the Governor-General of The Bahamas, the Duke of Cambridge said that he would support with pride and respect the decision of the country about their future. In his address, Prince William mentioned other independence milestones for nearby Jamaica and Belize and said that relationships evolve and friendships endure. The Bahamas will next year celebrate 50 years of Independence from Britain.
