RIHANNA WINS T-SHIRT CASE ON APPEAL

LONDON (AP) _ Rihanna has won her court fight over an unauthorized T-shirt. Britain’s Court of Appeal upheld an earlier ruling that fashion retailer Topshop cannot sell a shirt with Rihanna‘s photo on it without her permission. Topshop had argued retailers have used images of celebrities like Elvis Presley and Jimi Hendrix, and Rihanna was wrong to claim that only a celebrity may market his or her own character. A lower court had ruled Rihanna‘s fans might be deceived into thinking she had endorsed the shirt
