The family of the deceased dancehall artiste, Jordan “J Capri” Phillips says there’s no basis to suggest that the 24-year-old died of a bacterium at the University Hospital of the West Indies.
J Capri passed away last Friday after suffering head injuries in a car accident two weeks ago.
Her passing triggered an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
On Friday, her father, Kenneth Phillips told our newscenter, that they were concerned about the exact cause of her death.
But in a statement today, the family said claims or speculations of the cause of her death are all premature.
The family say they’re awaiting a post mortem and will then make an official comment.
They’ve expressed appreciation to concerned fans and the public.
It has asked for privacy at this time of grief and sorrow.
