Wassdemm Gives Thanks for Support

Dancer Wassdemm is giving thanks for the support at “Dancehall A Mi Everything”, which also celebrated his earth-strong. This was held in the Hope Flats Community, August Town, St. Andrews on August 25, 2023. It is an annual event since 2017 with the exception of 2019 when COVID-19 restrictions took its toll.

“There is so much I am giving thanks for at the end of the show. There was so much love from my community and others who are outsiders. They came and I loved the vibes.”

“The event had a planning period, staging from April 2023. This included securing a sound system which was Dean Sound from the community, with DJ’s Joe Frazer, Courage, Fire Stray and Platinum. Then, there was the decor to enhance the beauty of the venue. In addition to the bar and food area.”

“The support given demonstrates that people need more of this type of social gathering as an expression of love and unity.”

Wassdemm further adds that, “I kicked off the performance segment delivering two songs, one of which was using the Fully Bright riddim, the other on Di Ballgame riddim.

“Other performance came from afrobeat/reggae dancehall act Shaka Pow who delivered “Fi Dah Summer Yah”, his latest project.”

Dancer Anna-Kay stole the show with her performance of three songs, one a combination with Energy Diva.”
