Well known Caribbean veteran broadcaster the Honourable Dr Barbara Gloudon, OJ has died.
Dr Gloudon, a Jamaican, died in hospital on Wednesday night at the age of 87. The RCP News Centre reported in its Tuesday Newscast that Gloudon’s husband Ancile, a former actor, food technologist, orchid enthusiast and Church pianist died on April 30 at the age of 89.

She became a fellow of the Institute of Jamaica and received numerous awards and honours including the Order of Jamaica from the Government of Jamaica and an Honorary Doctorate from the University of the West Indies.
I am deeply saddened by the passing of veteran broadcaster, journalist, & playwright, Barbara Gloudon. I grew up listening to Barbara Gloudon on the radio. She was known for her no-nonsense analysis and commentary.
