US- based fashionista Jenelle “A’Legends” Thompson, has strut her way into, what she describes as, a promising deal. Jenelle, whose parents are Jamaicans, will have her voice tagged to a number of songs, in addition to music videos associated with a number of up-coming and established artistes.
Jenelle explains that, “what this means is that my voice, including my A’Legends brand, will have a bigger platform heading into the last quarter of the year. And, lest I forget, the deal will attract my artistic designs in their music videos.
Mr. Garfield Simms, manager, Do Di Rite Thing Entertainment- a Jamaican company- says,”the idea came when I met Jenelle earlier at one of her pop- up shop in Philadelphia.
” I was seeking ideas for marketing a number of artistes on my soon-to- be release album. I requested a voice tag for my brand which turned out to be promising, so we agreed on a deal
“Jenelle has already recorded the voice tag, which is in the process of being mastered. Beginning about this September 2022, Jenelle’s voice tag will be on all the Do Di Rite Thing Entertainment production.”
Two of the artistes involved in the production are Chronic Law and Shaneo. They will appear on the Do Di Rite Thing Ancestors riddim.
The project will feature some 7 songs.
Jenelle has a degree in Business Accounting from Phoenix University in Arizona. “My love for fashion started when I began dressing up in my mom’s clothing and modelling in front of her wardrobe. My parents knew about this dream and never once deter me from acting like à star.
“My fascination about clothing took root when I began to draw designs which came to my mind. When I was fully satisfy, I found a manufacturer to do the complete production.”
Jenelle’s designs, which includes T-shirts, sweat suits, men’s boxers, uni-sex slippers and caps, are worn by s number of entertainers. They include grammy-winning producer Delly Ranx and international dancehall artistes Spragga Benz and Vershon.
