Fresh off his win on Saturday, April 1st, 2017, for his 5th JUNO Award for Best Reggae Recording at the 46th annual JUNO Awards, in Ottawa, Exco Levi kicks of a strong Spring and Summer tour with performances at the O’Cannabiz conference at the Sheraton, Convention Centre, Toronto on April 22 and 23.

“It’s an honour to be a part of a country and industry that supports its art forms”, Levi exclaimed, as he accepted the JUNO award for his song ‘SIREN’. He congratulated his fellow nominees and thanked his fans, management team and producers for supporting his development and talent. Throughout his career, Exco Levi has advocated for positive music as a movement. The JUNO’s, recognition of his message and his talent, is a humbling experience for Exco Levi. The weekend-long festivities in Ottawa was packed with celebration of Canadian music. This is Exco Levi’s 6th consecutive JUNO nomination.

During JUNO weekend, Exco Levi headlined the reggae showcase Friday night at Café Decut, followed by the gala dinner and awards on Saturday, at the Shaw Centre, where most of the awards were presented.  April 2nd Exco Levi walked the JUNO Awards red carpet, prior to the television broadcast, basking in the ambiance of the celebration of Canadian talent at Canadian Tire Centre.  Sunday night continued at the Warner Music party. Exco performed Bob Marley’s “Redemption Song,” crooning from the keyboards, displaying another side of his many talents. His “No Woman No Cry” had the crowd singing along.  Levi’s fan-base continues to grow and he is looking forward to expanding his bandwidth with his sophomore album, scheduled for release September 2017.

“Legalization of Marijuana has been endorsed by reggae music all my life”, says Exco Levi.  “Medicinal and spiritual value of the herb, is finally being acknowledged and accepted.  It is a part of the natural order that I add Peter Tosh’s Legalize It to my set at the O’Cannabiz conference this weekend”. “Roots, Rock, Reggae – ya man”
