Jamaica- Fire of unknown origin gutted the offices of the Attendance Centre … a facility used by parents/guardians for counselling mainly teens. Troubled teens are the main users of this government facility. This facility is a part of the legal system attached to the Family Court.

This fire at the multi-story facility destroyed documents and furniture. An estimate of the damage is not known but conservatively could run into the millions of dollars. Forensic experts just allowed access to the building since the fire.

The activities of the centre will be relocated to Hagley Park Road from downtown Duke Street to uptown.
