Jamaica at the World Championships

July 18, 2022 | By Hopeton O’Connor-Dennie |

Shelly Ann Fraser-Pryce the greatest female sprinter of all times.  10:67 is the time.  Thompson Herah silver and Sherika Jackson bronze.  A truly momentous moment. Clean sweep in 100 m sprints for Jamaica at the World Championships.

For Shelly- Ann Fraser-Pryce this means five (5) gold individual medals. Even better than Bolt.

[7/17, 10:07 PM. Jamaican men have so far have disappointed and broken the hearts of all Jamaicans.

The Americans have nothing over Jamaicans.

Commentary

For A. Parchment to injure himself in a practice before a great race as favourite to get gold in the 110 hurdles is shameful.  We have a lot of soul searching to do.  You do not gamble with a big race coming up.

We need nerves of steel. Parchment did not demonstrate this.  Very sad!

We congratulate Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce on her success.
