Religious Focus: We are Different Persons Depending on … Bishop Dr. Robert Thompson declares

Addressing a packed congregation at the confirmation exercise at St. Jude’s Anglican, Stony Hill, Ja, WI. The occasion was the admission of new communicants as full fledged members of the church. Some 9 confirmands offered themselves and one person was admitted, having already been a Roman Catholic, this happened on May 22 Trinity Sunday, which coincidentally was also an occasion that marks 42 years of ordained ministry for the bishop Suffraghan of Kingston in the Diocese of Jamaica and the Cayman Islands, the Rt. Reverend Dr. Robert Thompson.

“God comes to us some days in a judgmental way, at other times He comes as one. Which one of us is the same person … the same person at the table, at the play field, with your spouse in bed … we are different, at different times. Romans 8, 26-28. We may not all have this experience but … agents of a beauty …. it isn’t easy for God to get to us. If we keep listening. The Danish theologian … was looking a maiden. He fell in love with this maiden. He could wed her by coercion. Instead he decided and He gave up his robes, moved in the village and she fell for him.

” This is incarnation as we know it. It goes into the mind of God. God himself is incomprehensible we get a glimpse through Christ. This is the God we must witness to others.

There were five females and four males who were confirmed. The male received was Ray Summons whose wife has been a life long Anglican.

The bishop Suffragan joined the confirands and admitted male for breakfast afterwards at the church hall upstairs.
