ARETHA FRANKLIN CAN’T WAIT TO RELEASE “GREAT DIVA CLASSICS”

Aretha Franklins Classics - New Album 2014

NEW YORK (AP) — Aretha Franklin is as excited about her album of covers as she was when she first heard her music on the radio. Franklin says there’s a lot of electricity around her album “Aretha Franklin Sings the Great Diva Classics.” She remakes songs by Gloria Gaynor, Barbra Streisand, Whitney Houston and even Adele. Franklin puts a Caribbean spin on “No One” by Alicia Keys that was a suggestion from Keys herself. Franklin says she can’t pick a favourite track and the album is as good as Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On.” “Great Diva Classics” comes out October 21.
